#H50 Recap/Picspam 2×15 Mai Ka Wa Kahinko

Surprise!!! This is an old recap/picspam from way back when I started writing these. I was writing for someone else’s blog, so I had to follow her rules, but I think they are still fun. 🙂

I decided to re-post some of these old ones in honor of my good friend Alice, who has recently become a big fan of Hawaii Five-0 thanks to Netflix!! *Everybody wave “hello” to Alice!*  She is especially fond of shirtless Steve. See, she has good taste! I’m starting with this episode because she just watched it.

Dear Golden Globes and Emmy Awards,
Scott Caan. Scott Caan. Scott Caan. Now!
Sincerely, Anna
PS: Throw in an Oscar and a Tony, because he deserves ALL the awards. Thank you.

Before we get to the amazing Scott acting moments, we need to revisit the first part of the episode.

Just looking at that outdoor staircase made me tired and hot. 1048 steps! Just looking at Steve and those arms and legs made me hot and tired. Let’s see, which should I choose?

Recap/Picspam: 4×15 Pale ‘la (Buried Secrets) #H50

Aloha! I am very sorry that the blog has been inactive for 2 months. RL has been especially difficult lately, and I’ve been working huge amounts of overtime. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m also in grad school. My posts will be shorter for a while, but I hope to keep going with them. I love writing for the blog and sharing with all my readers, though, and it’s a creative outlet for me!

Now, on to the show!

Geck-0-Meter: 6 geckos

Honestly, it’s an average of 4 for the case and 8 for the other stuff going on.

#H50 Recap/Picspam: 4×10 Ho’ onani Makuakane (Honor Thy Father)

Gecko-O-Meter: 10 geckos!

I was enthralled with this episode. It was so well done—the visuals, the writing, the acting, the music, the tribute to veterans, even the remembrance of internment camps—all so perfectly done. Not a light-hearted episode, though, so this might be a more serious recap than usual. Okay, there were a few small quirks that I noticed, like the lightning-quick way they solved the case in less than a day. But Hawaii is such a magical place (much like Tahiti) that they can probably do that there.

The opening newsreel was a nice introduction.

#H50 Thursday Thrills: Number 4

I’m late today, but I’m here! Happy Thanksgiving to all of my US friends, and happy Thursday to the the world! Although, by now it’s probably Friday for many of you, so Happy Friday!

This week we’re at 4! The number 4 reason we love our Hawaii Five-0 is…..

The incredible actors who bring our show to life! We love all of them, but I decided for today to focus on the official cast regulars.

Recap/Picspam: 4×08 Akanahe (Reluctant Partners) #H50

Geck-0-Meter: 8 geckos

Even though I missed my Danny so much!! Still, an action-packed and entertaining episode, with a surprisingly good villain. It was nice to see more of Grover and his personal life, too.

Trivia Time! Huaka’ i kula (Field Trip) #H50

Trivia Time 3×10 Huaka’ i kula (Field Trip)

In this episode, Steve and Danny go camping with Grace’s Aloha Girls troop. Despite the sweetness of the idea, they end up getting into some trouble. Go figure!

1. Lucy (one of the Aloha Girls) and Steve are kidnapped by a thief, Ron, who is wounded and stranded in the jungle. Why was he there?
A. He was flying over the jungle and had to parachute out of his plane before it crashed.
B. That’s what people in Hawaii do on Saturday night.
C. He was looking for Peyton Manning and figured Danny would know how to find him.

I’m starting work on a master’s degree in about 2 weeks. I’m excited and scared! I fully intend to keep up with this blog, but it’s possible my posts will be a little shorter. Please stay with me!
